Twinplet playdate

I had the great joy today of getting together with my college friend, Jordanna, for our twinplet play date!!! Her girls are just about two years old and I can’t even believe it. She is such a great mama. We went to Kellogg park, which is beautiful, and near the beach in La Jolla! LOVED IT!!! The babies had a great time. They are loving the swings, especially Charlize!!! They have been doing so much better during car rides too!! Go babies go!!

My sleeping beauties!! They couldn’t be any cuter when they sleep.

So we have been thinking about their first birthday party!! And are open to suggestions theme ideas. So far, I love the superhero theme!! I used to never think I would have a big first birthday party for my baby, probably because during my infertility it was sometimes tough to attend so many kid parties. I also used to say I wouldn’t post pictures of my kids everyday haha But lets be honest, I can’t help myself. So, needless to say, we come August we will be having the first birthday party of the century!!! haha

The Babies Meet Dr. Friedman!!

Today, marked a very special day as the babies got to meet a very special woman who played a huge role on our hope journey, our Fertility Doctor, Dr. Friedman. Words cannot express the joy that rolled into my heart to spend time with our amazing Fertility Doctor. She is one of a kind. I am truly blown away by the incredibly abilities God has given her. She has such a passion for her patients. We spent about a year at our clinic and created a bond with our Doctor and many of the nurses.  We were so fortunate that God blessed us with Dr. Friedman. My heart overflows for the moments we shared today and I am beyond thankful for women and men like Dr. Friedman who dedicate their careers to helping women who need a little extra help to start a family!!!

I received a double dose of blessings as the babies also got to meet my Fertility Acupuncturist, Janeane Miller. Today marked a special day. image-42image-46

My Hands Free Sleepers!!

GOOD NEWS: We have officially have hands free sleepers!! We started transitioning them yesterday with their arms out of their swaddles. I think they feel free and they look so stink in’ cute, I can’t even handle it! It was a much easier transition than I imagined and I think my little nuggets are loving it.

Here is a little video of our Hands Free Sleepers

BAD NEWS: I think our 2am-er night was a Phantom night of sleeping haha While I am absolutely rejoicing and praising the Lord because we are definitely seeing some positive changes we haven’t quite kicked gerd out of the park. Last two nights have been gerdy.  Poor Sawyer has also been struggling with it during the day time feedings #ohmygerd  But we are continuing to increase the cereal and stay consistent with Gerber Goodstart and their medicine!

Charlize had her helmet consultation appointment. Poor thing definitely has some lopsided-ness going on!! We are still doing some research to see how important it is for her to get one, as well, we will be doing some stretches with her everyday as she seems to favor the left side. Little stinker!!!

Ally and I took the babies on an adventure!! We went to the park and they loved it. I am so happy they are finally feeling better and we can get out of the house!!!image-40We fed them at the parkimage-39My sweet girl–this was one of the very first things I bought when Ryan and I started trying for a baby–and now my girl is wearing it!!!image-41

We are on our way to feeling better!!

image-20I have been so fortunate to have has Ryan home with us all last week.  It has really been such a blessing. I have fallen even more in love with Ryan and his role as a Daddy and how he cares for me as his wife and the Mom to our children. It couldn’t have been a more perfect week to have Ry home considering poor Charlize had pneumonia and the boys, bronchitis. Ayayayaya sick babies are ROUGH!!! But we are pushing through and everyone is on their way to feeling better!! At this point, Sawyer, who got sick last, is struggling the most but they are all really happy babies. My Charlize, especially, is enjoying extra sick snuggles. The worst part of them being sick, aside form how horrible it is too see my little ones not feeling well, is sucking snot out of their noses. O M G!!! It is totally disgusting, but somehow incredibly accomplishing all at the same time. The babies need to have an inhaler. They all finally seem to be taking to it much better than they did initially!!! We call the inhaler time of the day “Puff the Magic Dragon.”

Inhaler time: Puff the magic dragon

It was a bummer the babies were so sick during Ryan’s time off, but I was incredibly grateful that we could tackle the babies first sick experience together!!

Daddy and His Boys

In the meantime we have been trying to enjoy some outdoors while the babes are on their way to feeling 100%. They have had some pool time!!! The babies first pool experience So far, the boys seem to be the only ones really enjoying it!!image-23

Charlize is finally feeling more like her self. She has discovered a new sound in her voice and is starting to talk a lot!!image-22

I am super fortunate that Nana will be helping me every Tuesday with the babies!!!  This is a huge blessing!!!
